Dubai’s Atlantis The Royal and Louis Vuitton have merged their brands to bring forth a celebration at the Palm Jumeirah property. As Atlantis The Royal marks its first anniversary in grand style, Louis Vuitton’s mascot, Vivienne, embarks on a journey from Paris to Dubai, igniting joy and excitement throughout the resort.
Transformed from a collectible figurine to six towering statues, each measuring an impressive three metres, Vivienne now graces Atlantis The Royal with her presence in larger-than-life form. Crafted with precision by skilled artisans in Dubai, these statues embody the essence of luxury, adventure, and playfulness.
From the sophisticated Jetsetter Vivienne, sporting the iconic Pharrell Williams X Louis Vuitton sunglasses, to the carefree Roller Vivienne capturing moments next to the Droplets sculpture in the resort’s lavish lobby, each statue tells a unique story. Set against the backdrop of Atlantis The Royal’s breathtaking surroundings, these statues invite guests to immerse themselves in a world of fantasy and discovery through an exhilarating augmented reality experience.
Adding to the spectacle are two 10-meter-tall inflatable Viviennes, stationed at the resort’s entrance and atop Estiatorio Milos, overlooking the Skyblaze fountains. These installations serve as beacons of celebration, welcoming guests to indulge in the festivities.
To guide guests on this journey, a digital map has been created, revealing the locations of the Vivienne sculptures scattered throughout Atlantis The Royal. With animated markers guiding their way, guests can embark on a treasure hunt unlike any other, uncovering hidden gems and immersive experiences along the way.
In celebration of Atlantis The Royal’s first birthday, Louis Vuitton and the resort have curated a limited-edition collection of 18 trunk stickers, serving as timeless mementos of this collaboration. Guests staying at the resort until May 31st, 2024, will receive one collectible sticker for each night of their stay, capturing the essence of this momentous occasion.
Timothy Kelly, President of Atlantis, commented, “One year ago, we introduced Atlantis The Royal to the world with Beyoncé’s presence. As we celebrate our first anniversary, we aimed to surprise our guests by deviating from traditional events. By closely collaborating with the Louis Vuitton team, we’ve once again merged fashion, art, and travel to craft another unforgettable Atlantis experience. This time, we extend a global invitation to join in our celebration.”
Hanan Eissa, Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations at Atlantis Dubai, added, “The whole idea started with Vivienne, who is essentially an iconic and emblematic mascot for Louis Vuitton. Vivienne embodies liveliness, fun, and all the craftsmanship of the Maison. Whilst Vivienne’s adventures have taken them surfing, flying in a Monogram balloon, and into the world of jewellery, Louis Vuitton never really played with Vivienne on a large scale before, so this is where we started.”
