DoorDash showcases a two-night “speakeasy” in two of its top alcohol delivery markets, Washington, D.C. and Chicago. The DoorDash speakeasy first made its first appearance at Grapes & Grain bar in Chicago earlier in May, before moving to D.C. at the end of May. DoorDash handpicked the Adams Morgan’s Prohibition-style bar Code Red in D.C for the exciting pop-up location.
At the heart of the event is a DoorDash-branded red bar, stocked with faux spirits to intrigue and attract curious passers-by. Cleverly, you were only granted entry into the speakeasy if you were a member and subscriber of DoorDash. The entry was disguised as a fridge door and once through, a complimentary cocktail awaited them, on the house. This is a great way to entice members of the public to sign up, directly driving subscriber growth. All attendees received a complimentary cocktail-making kit and a special promo code for future alcohol orders.
By creating a memorable and exclusive event, DoorDash showcased its service in a fun and engaging way while also building stronger connections with its audience. These experiences not only differentiate DoorDash from its competitors but also build a loyal customer base. This activation was unique, lively, and perfectly captures the essence of DoorDash’s alcohol delivery service; quick, easy and enjoyable.
